Philosophy

Montana Mayhem ice hockey team is inspired for the dedicated, hard working, and coachable hockey players looking to take their game to the next level.   Montana Mayhem purpose is to give players access to higher level tournaments while giving them well rounded hockey fundamentals, coaching and training.  Helping players advance their hockey skills and skating development combined with expectations of sportsmanship and respect for the game.  We are always about player development on and off the ice, and ultimately preparing our players for life skills and opportunities. 

• Compete every second on the ice
• Play responsible defense to create turnovers, and take away the opponent’s time and space..
• Confident with the puck - stick handle creating opportunity. 
• Communication with each other creating plays and better opportunities.
• Pass the puck  knowing the puck can move faster than we can skate. 
• Support the puck - as a team unit we must be working twice as hard as puck carrier
• Smart hockey players who read plays and adapt to the situation at hand. 
• Play with speed and strength at all times.
• No QUESTION :   Checking, Speed, Hockey IQ & Skills are STILL the dominant forces in all Tier Level Hockey and Beyond.

ABOUT - Born in Ann Arbor Michigan.

Started playing hockey at 4 and played

organized youth AAA -Michigan until 12U.

Moved to California played  up  to 16U AAA  Midget 

with NORCAL AAA.  Played throughout Canada

& US During early 80s.  Due to Hip Injury  his 

competitive Hockey days were suddenly over.

He turned to swimming and soon became  

top ten 100M Butterfly Swimmers in the Northern CA.

Training 6 hrs a day helped him achieve

his swimming goals and exceptence to the University of CA @ Santa Barbara. UCSB

Jack now brings his Hockey Knowledge and Training Experience to share with youth Hockey Players!!

Jack is a Level 4 Hockey Coach and Level 3 Hockey Ref!
